Tai Chi Principles and Chen Yi Lu Xin Jia Form with Tom Bailor

The Portland Shaolin Center is happy to announce that Tom Bailor will be teach for two afternoons on February 2nd and Feburary 3rd.

FREE Tai Chi Chuan Workshop on Saturday February 2nd from 2-6pm

This free workshop is open to all levels.  And will contain basic Training Movements Yang Style, Chen Style, and Wu Style, Silk Reeling, as well as some Qi Gong. The basic training and silk reeling exercises will benefit any student’s practice of Tai Chi Chuan. We will cover internal theory, structural alignments, and internal dynamics.  Some choreography of Tai Chi form can be challenging so discussions of appropriate modifications will be shown to those who may need them.  This is an excellent opportunity for Tai Chi instructors or martial arts students form any style or system trying to broaden their understanding of internal arts and improve their practice

Chen Style Tai Chi Yi Lu (First Form) Xin Jia (New Frame) on Sunday February 3rd from 2-6pm for $50

The New Frame Chen Style comes through Chen Fake and Chen Zhou Kui. The form at the workshop is the Chen Style that Master George Xu has taught and continues to teach.  This form contains Chen style elements from Master Xu’s Chen style teachers and Shuang Guang Eng, Zhang Xue Xin, Ma Hong and others.   The silk reeling and basic exercises are the skills the make up the form.  Open and excellent to all styles of Tai Chi as a comparative study from the oldest Family forms of Tai Chi Chuan tradition.  Excellent for anyone studying or wanting to study Chen style or planning to study with Master George Xu.
